Assignments done:

The assignments I have done for this quarter and you can find on this blog are:
  1. Battle of Concepts
  2. Watch a movie and write about the trends/ developments
  3. Photography assignment: never noticed things on the road
  4. Weekly postings on blog
  5. Goals

MTV Neworks

For this quarter the group project was to develop a concept for an interactive format for MTV Networks. The concept had to be for one of their channels: Nickelodeon, TMF or MTV.
Together with Omer, Amy, Erik and Dave we have created a concept for Nickelodeon, called 'Nickipedia'.
A format description, the promotion campaign and attachments like visuals, a prototype movie and website and results of field research can be found here.

The marketing plan which Omer and I developed for the minor is there as well.

[7] Grolsch's Bierabri

Curiosity ones again proves it's strength. Together with JCDecaux Grolsch has developed an 'interactive' bus stop, called 'de bierabri'. It promotes Grolsch's new green beer bottle.
At first sight the add only shows a fridge. The surprise is that you can actually open the fridge and take a look at the bottles.
The next movie on youTube proves its succes....

The only question is: How long will these violence-sensitive fridges last in a Dutch society where every friday- or saturdaynight drunk adolescents feel the need to destroy a creative marketing expression like this?

[6] Wendy's Wereld

T-Mobile has launched a new marketing campaign to promote the Nokia N73: Wendy's Wereld. In a viral movie the user has to guide Wendy to all kinds of places. She uses internet on her N73 to help and give hints. Wendy also has a profile on hyves.nl, where she also gives hints. A fun 'gadget' on Wendy's hyves profile is the personalized video. Other hyves users can add the video to their own profile, in which their own photo then is shown.

The idea of the campaign is to show how practical mobile internet can be in daily life.

On the road...

I drive to Delfgauw regularly. Today I decided to go by bike instead of by car. I noticed many more details while biking than when I go by car.
The first thing I saw was a phone box. Ever since mobile phones became popular these have slowly disappeared from the street.
The next thing that caught my eye was a sign for a camping. The sign looks pretty weathered and the environment doesn't look very attractive either, I wonder what the camping looks like...
The glass house on the next picture somehow looks interesting. The structure and architecture. I really associate it with Holland. The boy biking in the front completes the Dutch picture.
Doelief.nl. I would like to have one of these pictures. I really think Dutch people should be nicer to eachother.
"Schaapshof" is the name of this very neatly kept house. The three sheepheads around it make it look really nice.
Spring has begun and it shows in the grassland. These goats look really cute together. I hadn't noticed them until now.
